Dr. Sara Mahan is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in psychological testing, psycho-educational testing, and developmental testing with toddlers, children, and adolescents. She also completes Independent Education Evaluations (IEEs) for families and school systems who request these to help inform service provision within the school system. Dr. Mahan has expertise in autism testing for all ages and all types of presentations.
There is a focus on learning about a person's strength and weaknesses to help everyone better understand the person's needs and what can help them be their most confident and best self.
Dr. Sara Mahan has extensive experience completing testing for concerns related to Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual differences, ADHD, Specific Learning Disorders, anxiety, selective mutism, emotion dysregulation, behavioral difficulties, and executive functioning differences, among other concerns.
Dr. Sara Mahan also has an expertise working with people of all ages (toddlers, children, adolescents, and young adults) and their caregivers with questions related to developmental differences (such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Intellectual Disability, and/or Developmental Delay as examples).
The focus of psychological testing is to determine strengths and weaknesses across various areas to inform differential diagnosis and most importantly, inform recommendations to help celebrate and fully utilize strengths while strengthening weaknesses or areas of difficulty.
